Having been part of the industry for around 40 years, working for everyone from the NWA/WCW to WWE, it'd be easy to imagine Jim Ross finds it hard to get excited for shows nowadays. According to the man himself during an interview with the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast, that couldn't be further from the truth.

Specifically recalling the pride he felt when Vince McMahon asked him to return and call The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, JR said he still feels the same need to prove himself when announcing as he did at the start of his career. That's why Ross is one of the best, if not the best.

The man's life may have changed dramatically since he was welcoming fans to episodes of WCW Saturday Night, but inside Jim still retains that childlike love for pro wrestling and is as determined as ever to maintain a professional approach.

Long may it continue.
