6. Ryback Thought He'd Be Booed As Intercontinental Champion
Winning the WWE Intercontinental Title at Elimination Chamber, Ryback was presented with the physical belt by former champion, Daniel Bryan. Forced to vacate the strap due to ongoing injury problems, Bryan nonetheless looked upbeat and happy as he handed over the title to the 'Big Guy', who admittedly looked a little sheepish during the post-match segment. During a sit-down interview with Michael Cole for WWE.com, the newest Intercontinental Champ peeled back the curtain a little, explaining why he looked quite nervy as Bryan handed over his newly-won prize. Realising how popular Daniel Bryan is with the WWE fans, Ryback says he was actually concerned about being booed out of the building, shunned as a new champion. Mainly worried because Bryan was there, a man who has much more of a connection to the core audience than Ryback does, the Intercontinental Champion intriguingly stated that he was fearing the worst at Elimination Chamber, and expected a lot of backlash from fans in attendance. Of course, he was cheered, but it seems Ryback still believes that's because of Bryan's presence.
