10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (July 5)

2. Kofi's Middle Finger Was Censored In Some Countries

Fans watching on USA Network in the States or Sky Sports in the UK would've seen Kofi Kingston raise a middle finger to Samoa Joe on the latest SmackDown. Those were the lucky ones. According to Post Wrestling, Sportsnet 360 in Canada and Sky in New Zealand cut the moment from their broadcast.

They didn't even have the decency to throw up one of those 'Censored' signs, or blur it out and let fans see Joe's brilliant facial reaction.

It's believed that some other countries deleted a few seconds from the tape too. That's a shame, because Kofi's show of bad-assery will surely become a big part of his feud with the Samoan. At the same time, WWE must remember that they carry PG certification for all programming, so they should expect some censoring.

It'd be interesting to find out if Sportsnet and Sky New Zealand carry the same attitude towards moments like Corey Graves yelling, "Holy Sh*t", Bobby Lashley threatening to kill Braun Strowman or wrestlers suddenly saying "Bitch" every week.
