10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 12)
9. Diana Hart Feels Owen Is A Hall Of Fame Must
It seems not a week can go by without there being at least some discussion about the kind of names fans would like to see inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. As of yet, the likes of Davey Boy Smith and Rick Rude are posted missing, but it's usually Owen Hart that receives the most attention, people seriously want to see the Canadian star get the treatment his legacy deserves. Without doubt, Owen's widow, Martha poses the biggest cog in the machine to WWE management. Martha still has resentment towards Vince McMahon and his juggernaut for the events which led to the tragic death of her husband at the 1999 Over The Edge Pay-Per-View. Horrendously falling to his doom, Owen landed in the ring before dying on his way to hospital, and McMahon deemed the show should continue as planned. Throwing her hat in the ring, Owen's sister, Diana (formerly married to Davey Boy Smith) said during a recent media appearance that she feels her sibling should be inducted. This backs up comments made by Bret Hart, who said Martha shouldn't stand in the way of Owen's career. It seems that Diana agrees with her brother, and wants to see this happen as soon as possible.
