7. Neville Says The Shield Paved Way For NXT

As aforementioned, NXT has been a great success for WWE on the whole. Not only does the show come highly recommended by those wrestling fans looking for something a little different to the television output expected of the main roster, but it has also enabled the promotion to start their own feeder system, one that fans don't just see as the minor leagues. Part of the reason for that is because WWE haven't really treated NXT like a small diversion over the past year or so. In fact, credit where credit is due, company management have done nothing but talk the brand up, citing many talents involved as the future of the industry. Listening to main roster star - and former NXT Heavyweight Champion - Neville talk about NXT shows just how valuable an asset it is. In Neville's opinion, NXT has been taken more seriously over the past year because WWE big wigs couldn't fail to notice the success of The Shield, a group of men called up from the developmental system. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have all went on to become genuine stalwarts of the main roster, something Neville feels has only helped WWE's perception of NXT, paving the way for others to follow suit.
