10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 19)
8. Bobby Lashley Thinks NXT Needs More Veterans
Truth be told, most wrestling fans aren't exactly going to take Bobby Lashley's word as gospel, certainly when he's waxing lyrical about WWE's NXT concept. The show has been successful, and in the eyes of many, has helped the company move away from guys exactly like Lashley, who were impressive to look at, but lacked real substance once the surface was scratched. If Jerry Lawler has the key to longevity, Lashley surely doesn't, ducking and diving in and out of the wrestling industry instead of really being a pivotal part of it. Even so, the current TNA star weighed in with his opinion on what could improve NXT during a recent radio interview, and it all seemed to revolve around the idea of introducing more veterans into the system. According to Lashley, all NXT seems to be missing is that little bit of credibility from wrestlers fans closely associate with the WWE product. Again, for many, that's exactly what makes the show seem so fresh, but by even uttering these words, is Bobby Lashley trying to put himself forward for a slot on the roster, joining the likes of Rhyno and Samoa Joe?
