Imagine rocking up to your favourite sandwich shop, only to be served by Jinder Mahal. That could've been a reality had Jinder not decided against opening a Subway franchise in 2014. Just after being canned by WWE, Mahal considered becoming a business owner and wrestling independent dates on the side.

The Mirror were the ones to break this story. Conducting an interview with the current WWE Champion, the newspaper revealed that Jinder consulted friends about the possibility of opening a Subway store. He wouldn't stop wrestling altogether, but working matches wouldn't be his main source of income either.

Deciding he was too young and still in his prime, Mahal knuckled down and worked harder than ever before to make himself a success. That determination paid off, and he's now the top champion in WWE without having to worry about footlong Meatball Marinaras.
