At BookCon 2019, a smiling John Cena said that he wasn't sure any one wrestler could ever become the apple of WWE's eye again. According to 'Big Match John', the promotion's culture has shifted to emphasise general branding over individual success; he makes a good point, although Roman Reigns is still undoubtedly Vinnie Mac's boy.

In the same Q&A session, Cena lifted the lid on his favourite pro wrestling match ever. This is something he's usually avoided in the past by giving multiple matches, but John managed to narrow it down to a single fave here. Few will be surprised to learn that it's Hulk Hogan vs. André The Giant at WrestleMania III.

Cena remembers thinking as a kid that Hulk had no chance against the mountainous giant, and that made him leap out of his seat when Hogan pulled off a win. The whole finishing stretch left a "lasting impression" on young John and inspired his own superhuman-style career.

Hearing modern-day heroes talk about the past like excited children is cool.
