10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Mar 4)
9. Steve Austin Doesn't Feel Chris Jericho Is The Same
At 45 years of age, Chris Jericho seems content to occasionally dip his toe back into the WWE waters, rather than have a full-time gig with the company. Outside of WWE, Jericho tours extensively with his band Fozzy, meaning he has the best of both worlds in his life. It's been fascinating to watch how he has adapted his in-ring style as the years have progressed, but according to Steve Austin, Y2J isn't quite the same dynamic performer that he was during his heyday. On his podcast, Austin was quick to praise Jericho for being able to do what he does in his mid-40s, but noted the Canadian's loss of speed. This is something many fans appear to have picked up on too, although Jericho's series with AJ Styles has garnered strong notices. Stone Cold worked against Chris Jericho on many occasions during his career, so he will be picking up on things that fans may not recognise. Austin wasn't bashing Y2J, it must be said. He instead complimented him for continuing to wrestle as he does. There's no denying his ring style and performance level has changed, however.
