Kofi Kingston has become known over the years for his ingenious Royal Rumble elimination escapes. He's used a chair, gymnastics, the security barrier, the ring steps and more to avoid letting his feet touch the arena floor. This year, Kofi used his New Day pal Xavier Woods as a buffer between the ring and the ringside mats.

It almost went badly wrong.

Woods stumbled backwards, and Kingston told during a WWE conference call this week that he thought for sure they messed the spot up. It wasn't until he hit the floor that he realised one of his feet was still off the ground. Acting quickly, he raised it up and pretended that had been the plan all along.

The truth is that both New Day members shared a laugh about the botch when they returned backstage. Kofi admitted he never practices these spots before he does them. If they go wrong, they go wrong. It's not like he's booked to win the match anyway.
