1. Ronda Rousey Thought WWE Fans Would Boo Her

That hybrid training/interview segment WWE ran with Ronda Rousey on Raw did way more to tell her story than any number of sign-pointing, Triple H/Stephanie bashing in-ring segments could. It showed how focused Ronda is, and it also exposed her prior emotional fragility. That continued in an interview with The Mirror.

Rousey believed wrestling fans would boo her out of the building when she strutted down the aisle at Royal Rumble. Mindful of who she was interrupting (Asuka), Ronda thought she'd be the natural heel in the situation. To her surprise, most of the live crowd in Philadelphia showed their approval.

That was a completely new experience for Rousey.

In MMA, she had always heard a mixture of cheers and boos. Before then, her Judo career had taught her to brave-face scathing audience responses; in Rousey's words, she had been booed in "30 different countries over 10 years" as a Judo fighter. When WWE fans cheered, she wasn't sure how to react.
