10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (March 27)
5. Bret Hart Was An Idol To Roman Reigns
When watching Roman Reigns wrestle, it appears that he was keeping a close eye on his older cousin, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, when growing up, certainly for the way in which he tries to carry himself on television. What may surprise some fans is to learn that it was actually Bret Hart who was the wrestler Reigns most looked up to during his formative years. Stating during a recent media appearance that he always viewed the 'Hitman' as the best, the number one challenger for the WWE World Title would clearly love to follow in Hart's footsteps and carve a legacy like the Canadian would end up doing. That's a statement which may make some titter with delight, as Roman Reigns obviously isn't anywhere near that level yet, but it's cool to know that he admired someone as accomplished as Bret. Also revealing during the interview that Hart has given him some advice on how to carry himself should be become champion, Roman says he used to dream about getting the reactions his idol did someday.
