10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (March 27)

4. Eva Marie To Host WWE Hall Of Fame

Jerry 'The King' Lawler may not be the best colour commentator in the business any more, but he's tailor made for events such as the WWE Hall Of Fame. Sure, the King has cornball humour and jokes so dated that they make almost everybody in the close vicinity role their eyes, but he's a certified Hall Of Famer in his own right, and adds a nice atmosphere to the event. This year, Eva Marie will replace Lawler as the host of the WWE Hall Of Fame, something which has led to the internet blowing up at the news. Marie doesn't quite have the pedigree that Lawler does, and many are wondering why - if WWE wanted to give the gig to a female - Renee Young wasn't chosen for the role. Perhaps Eva Marie will blow everyone away with her performance, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in this year's festivities. Lawler might be dated, but he's become synonymous with the Hall Of Fame, and has always done a fantastic job when hosting the show.
