John Cena has been linked with both The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio before WrestleMania 34. Neither match looks like it's going to happen, meaning Cena could end up third-wheeling in the WWE Title bout between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura instead.

Some fans would rather he missed out on the show entirely rather than gatecrashing Styles vs. Nakamura, and Cena agrees.

Shortly after being asked about rumours he pitched a match with Mysterio (Cena claims he didn't) by Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard, Cena then went on to say he'd be interested in sitting on the sidelines in New Orleans. His very words were that this would be a "great story".

He's right, it would be. Seeing WWE's poster boy for the past 15 years forced to sit and look glum in the stands during the biggest show of the year would sell the idea that he's past it. WWE have been pushing that on TV anyway, so it's not as though it'd come out of nowhere.
