10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 20)
8. Luke Harper Thought His Career Was Over
Luke Harper was working a dark match on the March 21 episode of Monday Night Raw and, unfortunately for the big man, just weeks before WrestleMania 32 he would go down with a serious leg injury. An MRI later revealed that he had torn a ligament and dislocated his patella, potentially keeping him out for as long as 6 months.
Currently rehabbing his injury, Harper recently caught up with Qwality TV to discuss his recovery. Describing the incident as a "blessing in disguise", due to the amount of time he's been able to spend with his young son, The Wyatt Family member also disclosed that he thought his leg was broken.
For hours afterwards, he was in some distress backstage. Being consoled by doctors and other medical staff, he repeatedly told them he believed his in-ring career was in serious jeopardy.
It wasn't until he began rehabbing the injury that he started to see light at the end of the tunnel, but it must have been disheartening to get hurt right before WWE's biggest show of the year.
