10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 5)

6. Arn Anderson's Favourite Tag-Team Feud Was Against The Rockers

The Rockers

As a member of the legendary Four Horsemen, it'd be easy to imagine that Arn Anderson could pluck from any number of feuds in the NWA/WCW when naming his personal favourite. Somewhat surprisingly, Anderson's favourite rivalry came during his brief stint as part of the WWF from 1988-1989.

Throughout that period, Anderson and Tully Blanchard (collectively known as The Brainbusters) faced The Rockers in numerous televised bouts on shows like Saturday Night's Main Event. Anderson told the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast that he immediately viewed Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty as a younger version of The Rock N' Roll Express.

Knowing he and Blanchard could work wonders with the speed and poise of the youthful duo, an excited Arn also said he regards The Brainbusters vs. The Rockers run as his favourite ever. In fact, Anderson said those matches were the most fun he had as a wrestler, which is pretty remarkable considering the career he had outside the WWF.
