Take a bow, Germany. You fine folks were once responsible for humbling Big Show to the point he questioned his own star power.

During an interview with Busted Open Radio, Show told how he was feeling good about himself when he made the jump from WCW to the WWF in 1999. He was a former WCW World Champ, had worked extensively with Hulk Hogan and been a member of the nWo. Now, he was hitting McMahon territory and poised to become an even bigger deal.

To Show's amazement, fans at a German live event responded to his entrance with absolute silence. To him, that said everything. He'd have to start all over again and convince a new audience that he was worthy of their attention. It also baffled him that winning the WCW Title meant nothing to those people.

They were impressed by his physical size, naturally, but nobody seemed to have any knowledge about his prior work, feuds with Hogan, Sting, Kevin Nash and others, or time spent in one of wrestling's hottest factions. That had to hurt the big man.
