10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Oct 13)
8. 2K Games Asked The Young Bucks To Do Motion Capture Work
Just 24 hours after WWE sent a cease and desist letter to The Young Bucks, 2K Games were contacting the world-travelled tag-team to see if they'd be interested in some motion capture work for WWE 2K19. No, that's not a joke, at least not according to Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer newsletter.
2K reasoned that so many fans create The Bucks in the games anyway, so there's no reason why they shouldn't try to get Nick and Matt Jackson on board to capture their signature moves for subsequent games. This just shows the kind of audience WWE games attract. It's not just casual fans who want to play as Brock Lesnar who sell the most copies, it's hardcore wrestling fanatics.
The Observer didn't report on whether or not The Young Bucks have agreed, but there's probably some legal issues between the team and WWE that would have to be sorted out first. Imagine getting a stern warning from one branch of WWE, then an invitation from another the next day.
