8. Ric Flair Has Given Up Drinking

Hospitalised with heart problems in mid-August, the infamous 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair has recovered post-surgery but says he will never drink again. Flair announced during an interview with People Magazine that his partying days were over, at least when it comes to alcohol.

It's safe to assume Ric hasn't missed out when it comes to booze during his life and career. A notorious party animal during his heyday, Flair was well-known for staying up all night then wrestling lengthy matches the very next day. Bret Hart even wrote in his book that Ric was once the last to leave the bar and somehow the first to hit the treadmill the following morning.

Aged 68, Flair is making the right choice by scaling back on his wild ways. Also claiming during the interview that he had never taken a pain pill in his life, Ric said he used alcohol as a coping mechanism to get through niggling injuries but doesn't want to put his health into any more jeopardy.
