10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Sept 24)
Find out what Cesaro really thinks about his entrance music.
Diamond Dallas Page must still be considered one of the most unlikely World Champions in modern pro wrestling history. Starting out as a manager, the fast-talking Page transitioned into a wrestler and eventually worked his way up the ladder in WCW to become WCW World Champ in 1999. Incredibly, his journey started simply by pretending to be one of his heroes.
That story is detailed in this week's article, one which ties together ten different wrestling facts that weren't common knowledge last week. Joining Page's bizarre tale, there are facts related to the likes of Edge, Zeb Colter and even former TNA star Chris Harris.
Further to those, there's a story about the night that the 'Fake' Razor Ramon and Diesel made their debut on WWF television. Standing behind the scenes over on Nitro, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were bemused by the combined reaction of WCW management to the 'new' characters Vince McMahon was using.
Segments that failed to hit the mark, characters pitched that fell on deaf ears and unwanted entrance music are all here. Let's look at the facts...
10. Cesaro Doesn't Like His WWE Entrance Music
The ongoing 'Best Of 7 Series' with Sheamus has allowed Cesaro to focus on what he does best, actually entering the ring and wrestling lengthy matches. It's been an interesting few years for the 'Swiss Superman', a time period that has involved Vince McMahon calling him out on Steve Austin's podcast and even frustrated promos from the man himself on television.
WWE have used this as part of Cesaro's on screen character, but it seems not everything about his current presentation appeals to the wrestler. During a media call, Cesaro told ESPN that he wasn't exactly a fan of his entrance music. In fact, he really dislikes the tune that plays him to the ring.
Expanding on his point, Cesaro said that he was the one who suggested some James Bond quirks for his entrance routine. The music doesn't reflect that kind of assured confidence in his mind, and it's something Cesaro would like changed as soon as possible.
It's interesting to hear a WWE star to be so outspoken about their own music, especially when they're still using it on TV.
