10 Wrestling Feuds That Borrowed From Unlikely Inspirations

3. Bullet Club Feat Jeff Jarrett Vs NJPW (Planet Jarrett Vs TNA)

Jeff Jarrett briefly joining Bullet Club as part of a working relationship between NJPW and 'Double J's new company Global Force Wrestling was so g*ddamn him it made his latest guitar victim Hiroshi Tanahashi look even stupider than some of the other icons to take the acoustic equaliser to the head.

Jarrett had appeared in an official capacity to strike the deal with New Japan before tearing away his suit to reveal the colours later in the night, taking with him much of the agency from group leader (and IWGP Heavyweight Champion) AJ Styles.

All of a sudden (and thankfully only briefly), the coolest gang in pro wrestling were reduced to playing Planet Jarrett, a TNA stable that was itself derivative of the McMahon Helmsley Regime and every other dominant heel group that filled the ring with bodies as the promos filled time.

Thankfully, the run only amounted to Jarrett appearing by AJ's side and a six-man tag at Wrestle Kingdom as the relationship and story came to an acrimonious and abrupt halt.
