10 Wrestling Gimmick Matches That Only Happened Once

1. Kennel From Hell Match

Nearly two decades later, it's still something of a mystery as to exactly how the WWE creative team came to convince themselves that Unforgiven 1999's Kennel From Hell Match was anything other than a terrible, terrible idea.

The company trades in wrestling, and though its cast of on-air talent are plenty skilled in the art of flying in and around the ring, they are not thespians. Given that, it seems hugely ambitious to think that they could somehow teach animals to act.

Instead of pacing between the Hell in a Cell and Steel Cage structures staring menacingly at the two competitors, the weapon dogs ostensibly tasked with bringing the match to life just sort of - well, sat there looking disinterested (when they weren't relieving themselves, of course).

For all the wrong reasons, this match is now the abiding memory with which one associates both Al Snow and Big Boss Man. They could have shared a five-star classic at WrestleMania the following year, and this would still be their most Googled moment.
