10 Wrestling Gimmicks More Disturbing Than You Think

2. The Undertaker Tried To Kill His Parents

Admittedly, WWE has mucked around with The Undertaker's lore so much that it's hard to keep tabs on what's actually an acceptable party line these days. He's been a mortician, an undead zombie, a supernatural being, a satanic cult leader, a biker and more.

Oh, and he also tried to murder his own family by starting a fire.

That's something Paul Bearer told the world before introducing Kane in 1997. According to everyone's favourite shrill-voiced manager, 'Taker had burned down his parents' funeral home in his youth and left them to die. Buy that babyface Undertaker merch now, kiddies! F*ck, how gloomy is that?

The Undertaker was already dark and depressing when he debuted in 1990, but the parent-murdering pyromania examined years later took things to a whole new level. The promotion also used that as an excuse to debut Kane, but the backstory changes/horrid undertones of both characters didn't stop there.
