10 Wrestling Gimmicks Which Were Massive Ribs

3. Tripp Bradshaw

African Dream Dusty Rhodes

JBL's stupid little Texas two-step as he made his way down the ramp to assume commentary duties wasn't the most egregiously odious thing he did during his WWE career, but it's up there. So when in 2017 his bullish bravado lost out to gravity, pretty much everybody had a good ol' chuckle - all except the cameraman he thwacked out the road to spare his blushes, anyway.

Even his employers weren't averse to having a laugh at JBL's expense. The announcer took a similar tumble earlier in the year whilst rushing to the aid of a stricken Jerry Lawler, and WWE were quick to capitalise on his embarrassment. A week later, who should turn up on 205 Live but a jobber by the name of 'Tripp Bradshaw'? It was no coincidence. The bigger they are, the more hilariously they fall.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
