10 Wrestling Heel Turns That Should Be Erased From History

You know, there’s a reason he’s called GOOD ol’ JR, right WWF?

The possible greatest wrestling announcer of all-time has had not one, but two forgettable, and quite atrocious heel runs while under the employment of Vince McMahon. The first was with the bizarre fake Diesel, fake Razor Ramon nonsense, and the second was while he was recovering from another episode Bell's Palsy.

During that time, Michael Cole took his place on-air as the lead play-by-play voice of Raw. Instead of just switching them back when Ross was ready for his return, and we could all welcome him back and move on, it was made into an angle; a really tasteless one.

Ross brought in his real life friend Dr. Death Steve Williams as his enforcer, and he set up his own broadcast table during Raw. He was upset that he had been replaced due to his condition and took it out on his replacement. But despite Ross trying to be a jerk about the situation, no one wanted to boo him.

Unless the company wanted to really dig in deep, they’d just have to forget the whole thing happened. And so they did. And so should you.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
