10 Wrestling Heel Turns That Should Be Erased From History

9. Michael Cole

Listening to a heel Michael Cole on commentary for hours on TV every week was the equivalent to being slapped in the face with a dead fish for hours every week. It was one of the company’s most idiotic decisions of the past 10 years. When the guy leading the product craps all over the product, then why the hell should anyone watch the show?

It wasn’t until Jerry Lawler’s real life on-air heart attack went down that evil Cole was put to bed. But before that, we had to suffer through him being stripped by Cena, kissing King’s foot and competing in the worst WrestleMania match in the event’s history.

As bad as David Otunga, Byron Saxton and JBL can be, their powers combined still aren't half as obnoxious as heel Cole. No child should ever have to read about this dark chapter in the company’s history, so let’s go ahead and tear those pages out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
