5. Los Oficiales
The longest-running police characters are a stable that most
fans have probably never heard of.
Los Oficiales consists of many luchadores that serve hard times to opponents in Mexico. Debuting in 1996, the original incarnation invaded AAA, as Guardia, Oficial and Vigilante basically cloned Big Boss Man. They wore motorcycle helmets and carried night sticks, bending the law as they saw fit.
They later added Manic Cop to the group, a masked zombie cop, heavily inspired by the 1988 horror film of the same name. The stable jumped from AAA to International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), where a variation still competes today. They’ve won the Distrito Federal Trios Championship more than any other team, and have held the titles for the longest amount of combined time.
