10 Wrestling Matches One Second Away From Perfection

4. The Young Bucks Vs The Lucha Bros (AEW All Out 2019)

The Young Bucks and The Lucha Bros only know how to have classics, and while the risk has always proven worth the reward between the insane quartet, this was one near-miss that could have ended much worse than it did.

Wrestling's strange in this regard.- when the objective is to make it look like you're hurting your opponent, inflicting the most damage should theoretically add to the spectacle and realism. Unfortunately for the performers, most fans have seen more than their fair share of matches, and have an aye for something isn't quite as it should.

The spot here was one fairly familiar to genre fans, even if the correct execution of the move still isn't exactly an advertisement for health and safety. Penta's ladder push looked like any other until it became clear that Nick Jackson's trajectory was going to come up a little short.

The graceless tumble through a single table (and he almost didn't make that) didn't provide the noise nor visual most are accustomed too, and the landing didn't look quite as kind as the double tables splat often provides.
