10 Wrestling Matches That Ended In Unbelievable Locations
5. Steve Austin Vs. Triple H - The Ice Palace Parking Lot
While a match sprawling to the backstage area and parking lot was nothing particularly unique during the heady days of the Attitude Era, the conclusion of Steve Austin vs. Triple H at Survivor Series 2000 put a fresh spin on this concept... by suggesting to the audience that the Game had perished.
Of course, this bout took place a year after Stone Cold was ran over at 1999's iteration of Survivor Series, with it having been revealed that Triple H was the mastermind behind a plan which saw Rikishi drive a car into the Texas Rattlesnake. Thus, by the time Austin and Helmsley got to set to tangle in one-on-one action at Tampa's Ice Palace on 19 November '00, the contest was a No Disqualification bout.
Tables were broken, weapons were used, the ringside area was brawled around, and the Radicalz got involved by the time the match had made its way to the parking lot. With Triple H in a car and waiting to "finish the job" by mowing down his rival, the Bionic Redneck appeared on the scene with a forklift truck he used to lift Hunter's car 30 feet in the air before dropping it to the ground below.
The official decision was a no contest, but the sight of the squashed roof of the upturned vehicle had fans pondering whether Triple H had just been kayfabe murdered live on PPV.
