10 Wrestling Matches Too Horrible For WWE To Air

3. AJ Styles Vs. Omos

When: 27 December 2021 (Raw).

What Happened: Omos was supposed to wrestle AJ Styles for the first time on television during this past Monday's edition of Raw. The post-Christmas 27 December episode was set to have these ex-partners go to war in a big man vs. little man battle, but WWE changed the script last-minute.

A Boxing Day house show at Madison Square Garden 24 hours before might've been why. There, Omos and AJ had a match that Dave Meltzer described as "absolutely horrible". It was so foul, in fact, that WWE's power players pulled a rematch from Raw and had Styles wrestle Apollo Crews instead.

Well, they got there eventually.

AJ came out to badmouth Omos before being confronted by NXT 2.0's Grayson Waller. After that, Crews and Commander Azeez came out to set up Azeez vs. AJ. Then, mid-commercial break, WWE altered that to Styles vs. Apollo. Sheesh, what a mess this was.
