There's sort of an unwritten rule in wrestling where if one side starts to tread the line between edgy and racist, that side then has to lose the resulting match.

WWE didn't get that memo in 2003 though, when they had Triple H triumph over Triple H in Raw's World Heavyweight Championship clash at WrestleMania 19.

Apart from bad optics (from a company compulsively preoccupied with optics) it was a colossal blow to the career of Booker T, and from one which - barring a brief spell as a heel king three years later - he never quite recovered.

You can argue that he was never cut out for a main event spot to begin with, of course, but in that case why even put him in the match?
