10 Wrestling Matches Where The Wrong Guy Went Over
7. Elimination Chamber II
Goldberg's original WWE run is considered by many to be one of the biggest wasted opportunities in wrestling history - and the events of SummerSlam 2003 illustrate that point capably.
Heading into the show, Goldberg was duly booked as the unstoppable force we came to know during his WCW days. His match with Chris Jericho at June's Bad Blood was a little more competitive than the two-minute squash bouts to which he was accustomed, but he very much was unbeaten. And there was no better time to stick the big gold belt around his waist.
But, inexplicably, Triple H retained the World Heavyweight Championship, aided by a sledgehammer passed through the Elimination Chamber chain links by Ric Flair, a booking decision which still confuses just about everyone not named Triple H.
