Event: WWE Extreme Rules 2022

Why Fans Hated It: You might not have been expecting this one, but here goes.

Some of the goodwill fostered by Triple H assuming control post-Vince McMahon retirement was chipped away when Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey tanked at SummerSlam. WWE's half-baked finish annoyed everybody, and it left poor Liv dead woman walking as a viable babyface.

Worse was to come. The writers scripted Morgan to double down on claims that she had convincingly beaten Ronda, and that knackered the build towards a rematch at Extreme Rules. None of the booking on the road there swayed folks into thinking that Liv vs. Rousey II would be a winner.

Morgan "getting extreme" was another lazy last-minute attempt to reboot her fortunes, and Ronda rarely looked like she'd break sweat against somebody her character called a fluke. Come Extreme Rules, nobody actually cared about the only titular weapons bout on the show.

That's a shame.
