10 Wrestling Matches You Hated Before You Even Saw Them

7. Ric Flair’s “Last Match”

FITE TV/Starrcast

Event: Starrcast V

Why Fans Hated It: There will always be a sizeable portion of the wrestling community who resent Ric Flair for working in-ring again after 'Mania XXIV. That match vs. Shawn Michaels, and the big celebration of all things 'Nature Boy' WWE put on, was so good that nothing was ever going to top it.

Imagine fan faces if you had a crystal ball, could see into the future and told them that Flair would only wrestle his "last match" 14 years later in 2022. Then, picture eyebrows hitting the sky if you added in that he'd be wrestling fellow veteran Jeff Jarrett on a non-WWE card promoted at a fan festival called Starrcast.

Sounds like a rib, right?

Everyone knew going into Ric and Andrade El Idolo vs. Jarrett and Jay Lethal this past summer that it'd be an uncomfortable watch. Also, the absolutely shattered Flair has already rubbished his own "last match" branding by saying that he plans to wrestle again at some stage.

Can't wait...
