10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Have Never Happened In WWE

5. Braun Strowman Vs. Samoa Joe

Both Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe played important roles in 2017. The Samoan Submission Machine saw his stock rise exponentially during his brief feud with Brock Lesnar, even if it ended in defeat. Joe’s promo exchanges with Paul Heyman made the first two-time NXT Champion seem like a major superstar for the first time in his short WWE career.

Braun went from strength to strength as RAW’s resident monster, and was rewarded with a couple of pay-per-view main events as a result. Strowman’s first match with Brock Lesnar was a bust, but the violent brawl at the Royal Rumble hinted that something bigger was still on the table. Strowman/Lesnar II will happen at some point, and it could well be the match that everyone hoped the first encounter would be.

But what of Strowman vs. Joe? Both have portrayed heels on the main roster so far, although neither man has truly been booed. The violence on offer from both is easy to get behind, and either one of them slotting into a babyface role for this match isn’t beyond the scope of the imagination. Strowman vs. Joe will happen in 2018, without doubt. It could well be the first port of call for both following WrestleMania 34.
