10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Happened In 2015

3. Sting Vs. The Big Show (WWE, September 14)

WWE spent the Attitude Era criticising World Championship Wrestling for pushing older wrestlers, but it didn't stop the company from using those same wrestlers after the fall of the Ted Turner-owned company. Case in point: Sting, who was the final holdout from the Atlanta-based promotion, finally signed with WWE in 2015, resulting in a couple of very high-profile matches for the 56-year-old star. To be fair, Sting's performances at WrestleMania and Night of Champions surpassed just about everyone's expectations - so much so, that fans are willing to overlook a particularly unmemorable Raw bout. In that contest, a T-shirt-wearing Sting made his in-ring debut on WWE flagship promgramme, taking on old WCW nemesis The Big Show. After less than two minutes of action, Seth Rollins ran in, leading to a no contest - and then, an impromptu tag match pitting Rollins and Show against Sting and John Cena. Sting forced Rollins to tap out to the Scorpion Deathlock, but that was just about all he did.
