A true dream match; the sight of cruiserweight legend Rey Mysterio Jr facing off against the best modern day high flyer in the business Prince Puma (aka Ricochet) was a moment for the ages.
Rey has looked rejuvenated since joining Lucha Underground in season 2, perhaps in part due to the lighter schedule, and the chance to see him work against younger luchadors has been a joy for wrestling fans. The fact that he's still able to work such great matches and pull off the moves he can at the age of 42 and after multiple knee injuries, is a testament to his legendary status.
Recorded in January and airing on TV in July, this meeting of two of the most influential high flyers in wrestling history was everything we hoped it would be, with the veteran officially passing the torch to the 'Future of Flight' after the match.
