6. Asuka Vs Mickie James
After Asuka defeated Bayley for a second time at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, 'The Huggable One' officially departed Full Sail for the main roster. With Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss and Carmella also having departed for Raw and Smackdown, it meant that the dominant Asuka was left without much viable competition to her NXT women's championship.
To give Asuka a great opponent for NXT TakeOver: Toronto in November then, Triple H and co- turned to a WWE women's division legend in Mickie James. Her return was an unexpected one and seeing her square off against a joshi legend in a WWE ring was incredible.
Mickie more than lived up to expectations in the match, so much so that she signed a multi-year contract to return to WWE proper in 2017, and we can't wait to see her tear it up with the likes of Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch in the new year.
