10 Wrestling Moments That Broke The Internet

8. Brock Lesnar Returns

It's no secret that WWE have lost a chunk of their audience to the growing UFC behemoth over the years. It's a natural progression; as pre-teens get older, fake fighting becomes lame and real fighting becomes cool. However, in certain circumstances, the two worlds are brought together with explosive consequences. A good recent example was Ronda Rousey's appearance at WrestleMania 31, but it had a more earth-shattering predecessor. It's fair to say that Brock Lesnar hasn't had the friendliest of relations with WWE over the years. His highly-publicised walkout (and subsequent lawsuit) seemed to suggest a return would never happen, especially after thriving in UFC. Unlike Cena's return at the 2008 Royal Rumble, this one was pretty much common knowledge before it occurred. However, WWE timed it to perfection. The night after WrestleMania 28 - the scene of The Rock's triumph over John Cena - Lesnar stomped out and F5d Cena. Predictably, everyone lost their minds. There was something in this return for everyone. UFC fans saw the former Heavyweight Champion return to pro wrestling; WWE fans saw the return of an old favourite. Cena fans immediately had a new mega-heel for their hero to contend with, and everyone else had hope that his return to the top of the card wouldn't last long. It didn't; Lesnar destroyed John at SummerSlam and took his WWE Championship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL44KVErB7s
