2. Dusty Rhodes And Stephanie McMahon

There are about a million reasons why I’m desperate for a Stephanie McMahon Tell All Autobiography (admittedly, there are about a hundred million reasons why I’m also absolutely not, but let’s press on), and one of them is this promo.

During the now highly telling Rhodes family vs. The Authority angle, Dustin and Cody were joined by their father for a heated in-ring segment about Triple H and Stephanie. Watching it back, there is something immediately different about it compared to WWE’s usual scripted exchanges and that is, story goes, because Dusty had binned his lines.

Instead of letting Stephanie do her usual trick of making the faces look like total wimps, he interrupted and put her hand in her face to stop her talking. This, according to backstage reports, enraged her.

Unfortunately for her, with him being a long-since retired legend of the industry well into the business end of his 60s, there wasn’t really much she could do to get back at him.
