Proving to be the foundation for much of the real-life and eventually storyline heat shared between the two faces of their generations coming into a Twice in a Lifetime 'Mania double-whammy, John Cena's ill will towards The Rock's decision to turn his back on the wrestling world in favour of Hollywood superstardom ultimately aged like a cup of full fat milk.

A decade or so on from Super Cena's blasting of The Great One's part-time influence, and it's now The Face that once Ran the Place who is only dipping his toe into WWE waters on the few occasions he finds himself away from the Hollywood machine. And it appears the shoe now being on the other foot has brought some perspective and a tinge of regret Cena's way in recent times.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated's Justin Barraso a few years back, Cena went on record to admit that his many scathing promos on The People's Champion's lack of WWE appearances were "stupid" and he was "foolish" and "ignorant" to not see that Rocky was putting his all into showing "WWE superstars are so much more than WWE superstars," during his time away.

Finally... Cena sees the error of his ways.
