10 Wrestling Promotions You Never Knew Existed

5. Ring Ka King

Ring Ka King was a bizarre offshoot of TNA Wrestling. In 2011, TNA announced a new project to take place in India. Jeff Jarrett was put at the helm of the project, and ultimately, the short-lived Ring Ka King promotion was established. The company aired only one season of a television show, consisting of 26 episodes, exclusively in India from January to April of 2012. The promotion featured a mix of Indian talent and American stars. Nearly all of the Indian talent received training by former WWE superstar, Savio Vega, at the Ohio Valley Wrestling facility. The company prominently featured former TNA star Sonjay Dutt, as well as TNA contracted wrestlers, Scott Steiner, Abyss, Magnus, and Matt Morgan, among others. Arguably, the most famous incident to come out of Ring Ka King is that of Big Poppa Pump terrorizing the Indian crowd. A RKK Heavyweight Championship tournament was quickly established with TNA star Matt Morgan taking the prize. He then dropped the title to another TNA talent, Magnus. Ultimately, however, Magnus would be triumphed by local talent Mahaballi Veera on the show€™s final episode. Ring Ka King was an attempt by TNA Wrestling to broaden their global scope. Reportedly, the show did decently well in its airings on the Colors TV network. However, there has been no attempt to revive the promotion since its final episode aired on April 22nd, 2012.
