10 Wrestling Secrets Hiding In Plain Sight

5. The Boo Boo Face

Not The Back
WWE Network

Besides all the physical pain and numbing travel and the erratic whims of Vince McMahon and getting jeered for not being CM Punk etc. etc., one overlooked hardship of the wrestling racket is the level of performance and professionalism required to not give away the all-important result.

If a performer is doing the job, ideally, this should not be made clear, for the result itself is a secret - unless it's the second meeting in as many weeks on RAW, in which case it is as obvious as Mr. America. Hulk Hogan did a better job masking his racism.

Bayley and Sasha Banks made this abundantly clear at WrestleMania 35, both in the dressing room and during their ring entrance. The Boss and Hug connection were slightly less overt as they held their belts aloft, but not by much. Bayley's face froze in pissed off rictus as her eyes surveyed the vista of fans, as if to silently ask 'How many of these people have ever audibly reacted to the IIconics, and why the f*ck do they have an ironic Twitter following?'

Banks, meanwhile, went through the motions of her entrance, but was more daggers than swagger as she made the long walk of the condemned to the ring. She looked a picture of exasperation, as was to be expected, when you have learned just that day you are to job to two rotten comedy workers.

"It's complain to your Boss time!"
