10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Got The WORST Gimmicks After Splitting

Booker T is a saint, and one of the best homegrown stars WCW ever had. Growing up, this writer viewed him as a firm favourite, and used to whittle away afternoons perfecting his scissor/axe kick on various teddy bears. Don't try this at home, kids. The Spinarooni is probably fine though.

As a duo, Booker and brother Stevie Ray were bad ass. Harlem Heat won the most Tag Team Titles in WCW history, but they'd eventually split in late-1997 and try singles runs. Booker's was going well until Vince Russo joined the company as head of creative and turned him into an old army gimmick he'd played before reaching the big time.

G.I Bro was as lame as it sounds, bro.

Stevie also transitioned into becoming a walking advertisement for the nWo. Unlike his super-cool stablemates Hogan, Nash and Hall, Ray looked less-than-stellar in his striped black and white 'B' squad gear. Later, he'd form 'Harlem Heat 2000' with 'Big T' (Ahmed Johnson) and find out that teaming with Booker would be the highlight of his career.
