10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Hurt The Most By The Empty Arena Era
1. Lance Archer
Lance Archer has been one of the more inconsistent characters in AEW. He made a big splash just before The Empty Arena Era by aligning himself with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and challenging Cody.
However, the issue comes with his booking since then.
Archer has lost a lot of significant matches during his time in AEW. He lost to Cody, he lost to Jon Moxley, he lost to Miro. All of these matches were for some form of Championship, either TNT or World Championships.
This booking has significantly damaged Lance Archer's mystique. How can he be seen as a credible threat when he loses all his big opportunities?
The Murderhawk Monster seems to be a victim of circumstance. The long-form storytelling that AEW employs means that Archer simply doesn't fit into their title pictures just yet, but his ability in the ring means that he can serve as a filler opponent for any given champion.
Hopefully Archer is in AEW for a long time, and we can finally see everything he has to offer the company. During this era, however, he has grown stale and played out.
