10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Hurt The Most By The Empty Arena Era

2. Braun Strowman

It is safe to say that Braun Strowman had a good start to the Empty Arena Era. The Monster Among Men defeated Goldberg to claim his first Universal Championship and it was all downhill from there.

What makes Braun Strowman one of the more captivating performers in WWE (at least back in 2017) was the rampant destruction that he caused. Flipping ambulances, pulling down scaffolding and smashing through barricades is what he does best. But WWE decided to strip all this smoke and mirrors away from him long before his release.

His matches with Bray Wyatt were not good, his feud with Drew McIntyre was poorly booked and didn't focus on the strengths of Braun. Let's not talk about his rivalry with Shane McMahon either.

Braun needed to use this period his advantage. Destroy the Thunderdome at every opportunity. This could have added some momentum to his push, but WWE elected not to use Braun in this way. Instead, we got a lacklustre run from The Monster Among Men.
