10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2022
5. Dante Martin
Dante Martin is a wrestler so new to the sport that he is yet to have a Wikipedia page set up by an obsessive fan. However, at just 20 with six years of in-ring experience, Martin is a high achiever who can be a major name in the industry should his trajectory and achievement continue as it is. Etching his AEW career alongside his brother Darius as Top Flight, the energetic and athletic tag team forced the AEW faithful to take notice.
Since going solo after a brief programme with Team Taz, Martin has made a strong but subtle rise up the ranks of AEW. He managed to survive the Dynamite Diamond Ring 2021 Battle Royal, though he ultimately lost to fellow survivor MJF at Winter Is Coming . Following this, Dante has been undefeated.
While fickle booking seems to have inroads in professional wrestling, Dante's current AEW career shows at bare minimum mid-card title promise. As an initial incentive for AEW's backstage powers, Dante's physique and high flying style makes him the antithesis of the WWE big man ideal, in making him a star Khan and co. could point score against their rival (we all know they aren't above this).
