10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Set For A Big 2022
9. Thunder Rosa
This one is a bit of a cheap one, but it's certainly worthy of a spot on the list.
The AEW crowd loves Thunder Rosa. This was underlined wonderfully at All Out 2021, when, after not being featured that prominently for a few months, the fans were fully behind her in the Casino Battle Royale. Although she came up short to Ruby Soho, she was kept strong and you know that Khan knows what he has with her.
There have been reports that AEW are positioning the former NWA Women's Champion for a major push in 2022, and it makes all the sense in the world. Why?
Because Thunder Rosa must be the person to dethrone Britt Baker for the AEW Women's Championship.
Whilst AEW have made commendable strides with the women's division in the last year, there still hasn't been a legacy feud that becomes synonymous with the division. All we have at the moment is Britt Baker's meteoric rise, but no one else on her level.
Pushing Thunder Rosa opposite Britt for a long, personal feud would give a lot of credibility both to her reign and the division. Revisiting their brutal Lights Out match, only this time for the belt, would be epic.
