10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Set For A Big 2022

Look, WWE creative isn't what it used to be. A lot of NXT call-ups have flailed on the main roster due to poor writing, some that you could never have imagined. (cough Richochet cough)
But there is something that will always save you and that is a connection with the fans. Somehow, of all the call ups, Damian Priest has slotted perfectly into the badass babyface role and the crowd have lapped it up.
Currently enjoying a decent run with the WWE United States Championship, Priest has been Teflon to some awful WWE creative this year. Although it was The Miz that was eaten by the zombies, Priest was by his side at ringside, fighting them off. That sentence alone should have buried his career.
But it hasn't and after starring alongside Bad Bunny at WrestleMania, Priest has risen up the ranks and looks set to carry that into the new year. Dropping the US Title around the turn of the year wouldn't be a bad shout, as on the current trajectory, Priest would be a good shout for the Royal Rumble.
Will Priest win one of the big belts in 2022? This writer isn't so sure, but he'd hang his hat on him competing for them on pay-per-view.
