10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Set For A Big 2022
7. Jungle Boy
When this list was being compiled, Jungle Boy was always going to be on it.
Steadily, since AEW's inception, they have expertly booked Jungle Boy to climb a couple of rungs every year. What could have been a childish and rejected gimmick has become as wholesome as it has popular. It also helps that not only is Jungle Boy a dashing young lad, but his ring work is exceptional.
This past week on Dynamite, Jungle Boy went toe to toe with Adam Cole and he didn't seem out of place rubbing shoulders with one of the biggest stars on the show. The same happened when he was in the ring with Omega.
Why? Because Jungle Boy is becoming one of the biggest stars of the show.
Originally, this article was pitching Jungle Boy to be the one to dethrone Miro. That obviously isn't the case anymore, but it is still a match that would bring out the awesome babyface power of the late Luke Perry's baby boy!
Whether it be the TNT, Tag Team or the much muted Trio's title, expect Jungle Boy to get his first taste of AEW gold in 2022 and if you can suggest a better winner of the first Owen Hart Cup Tournament, then I'm all ears.
